Who are OpenTheBox Productions?
We are a collective of British LARPers who are committed to running the very best events possible. We love our hobby and want to give something back by producing a LARP that will entertain and excite; a LARP that we can be proud of and that our Players will remember for a long time to come.
We have played, enjoyed and been inspired by International LARPs across Europe, from Odysseus, to Icarus, from Legion to Raven Crew, from Conscience to Cyberpunk. We have loved the people we have met and the experiences we have had, both real and imagined! We are determined to use what we have learned from these amazing events and contribute our own epic production to the international scene!
We have a wealth of experience in LARP and outside (which is a polite way of saying we are old!) and have the time and resources to ensure that this LARP is a success!
Our events will be run ‘professionally’ and to a very high standard but we are not commercial providers; our events cost us money to run rather than make us profit. We treat safety, mental health, privacy and respect for others very seriously. But we may not meet all expectations at all times. We expect our Players to be co-collaborators rather than mere consumers. Players should understand that our events are run on a best efforts basis, by unpaid volunteers and people giving up their time to create something amazing.
