Ticket types and Pricing

The event deals with adult themes and therefore you have to be 18+ to participate.

There are three types of tickets for this event:

CONCESSION TICKETS

£300

Concession tickets can be applied for by anyone who feels they need it and they will never be asked to justify it (quantity dependent on the number of Sponsor tickets applied for)

STANDARD TICKETS

£500

The standard ticket type.
Standard ticket holders will have the same event experiences as all other ticket types (sponsors and concessions).

SPONSOR TICKETS

£600

Sponsors enable us to provide Concession tickets and have our, and the LARP communities, gratitude. Sponsor’s game experiences are the same as all other players.

Information and Policies

What’s Included

  • 3 nights’ accommodation in shared rooms
  • Full board – 3 breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. Cake and tea served in the afternoons!
  • Costume loan (see Costume guidelines section)

Colehayes Manor is a grand country house in the Georgian style. It has plenty of grandeur and atmosphere but is also a practical and usable space that is not too prissy or delicate. It is used for field studies, educational purposes and as a wedding venue. We will be transporting it back to the 1940s for our event.

Players will be warm and well looked after. There are several real fires that can be lit and used and there is a large dinning hall where hearty, authentic food will be served for all.

  • Rooms:

Bedrooms are dormitory style with decent beds and linen. Typically expect to share with 2 to 3 others in single beds in gender specific rooms. There are communal bathrooms and showers of a good standard.

  • Catering:

Catering will provide for 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 evening meals. There will also be tea and cake served in the afternoon. Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout. Players dietary requirements will be requested and provided for as far as feasible. Food will be plentiful and nourishing. The default will be food that was available during the war, so vegetarians and vegans will be well provided for.

  • Alcohol:

Alcohol will be served in the evenings at a paid bar. Players are requested to moderate their drinking and obviously anyone exhibiting drunkenness will be asked to step away from the game until they can continue.

Payment Methods

  1. Payments need to be made in GBP and by bank transfer.
  2. Account details for bank transfer will be supplied once a place is offered.
  3. You can pay all in one go over  three instalments:
    • 1st Instalment of £150 after initial spot allocation (and by Feb 25th)
    • 2nd instalment of £250 prior to full casting (by 3rd May)
    • 3rd instalment of the balance (by 14th July)
  • Cancellation policy

If due to any reason Players want to cancel their allocated place then they need to contact the organisers via email at info@opentheboxproductions.co.uk and we will seek a replacement Player. Due to the casting process you cannot sell your ticket on your own. You will then receive a refund, less an admin fee, based on the time to the event and whether we are able to fill the place as below:

Cancellation Policy

  • Up to the end of April – refund less a £50 administration fee.
  • May onwards – no refund unless the place is filled by someone else. If successful then you will get a refund, less a £50 admin fee.
  • Note Sponsors who cancel will only receive back the Standard ticket price (less the admin fee) as the additional amount will have been used to reduce the cost of a Concession ticket.

Sign up and Casting Process

Spaces will be allocated following sign-up by a curated casting process.

In the initial sign-up application, we’ll ask you to tell us about the character types you’d like to play, and those you’d like to avoid. We’ll also ask you a few questions about your interests and a few details about yourself. SOE Resistance will use a curated casting process to ensure diversity, inclusivity and ability to portray the role. We intend to create a diverse player base and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate.

If you receive a place, we’ll send you an email with information about which role type and Run you are assigned to, as well as a list of the other Players who have been allocated places and how to pay your participation fee. You will then have a week to pay the appropriate amount to confirm your place. If you don’t get a place, we’ll add you to the waiting list unless you tell us specifically that you do not want to be added.

Once the initial allocation has closed, we’ll move to the participation casting and you will receive a fuller casting form which will include details of how you can further participate in the shaping of your character, and this will include an opportunity to flag individuals at various levels of preference.

If you have questions about casting, please reach out to us at: info@opentheboxproductions.co.uk
